Europe’s Zone of the Month (September 2026): Kostrzyn-Słubice
FTZ News is naming the Kostrzyn-Słubice Special Economic Zone, in western Poland, Europe’s zone of the month for September.
The zone had its best first half on record. Investors declared 2.1 billion zloty in capital spending, three times the 701 million zloty of a year earlier. Investment decisions went from 19 to 33. The projects with names on them are an Alter GPU data center, 460 million zloty; a Sunday Natural plant, 340 million; and a Capri Sun factory, 273 million. Polish firms account for 73 percent of the projects. The new decisions are expected to add close to 300 jobs.
Warsaw Business Journal reported the figures on Sept. 3, citing pb.pl. FTZ News ran the same jump on Sept. 16, at about €481.3 million. The zone sits on the German border, across Lubuskie, West Pomeranian and part of Greater Poland, and has handed out income-tax breaks since 1997./.
