Kostrzyn-Slubice Posts 2.1 Billion Zlotys of Pledged Plant

FTZ News: Investors in the Kostrzyn-Slubice Special Economic Zone took support decisions covering 2.1 billion zlotys in the first half. Same stretch last year: 701 million.
Warsaw Business Journal and Puls Biznesu printed the score. Decisions: 33, against 19. Jobs written onto the forms: about 300.
Pledged, not spent. In this system the number rides on an aid decision. Foundations come later, if they come.
Alter GPU Center is in for 460 million zlotys on an AI data center. Sunday Natural, 340 million. Capri Sun, 273 million. Those three already clear a billion, give or take, before anyone opens the other 30 files.

Polish letterheads are on 73 percent of the decisions. What share of the 2.1 billion is Polish money is not in the note that went out.
It is a heavy-plant half, not a hiring half. A data hall eats capital. A pouch line does too. 3 hundred jobs will not refill the towns that have been leaking workers toward Berlin for 20 years, and nobody in Kostrzyn claimed they would.

The zone starts at Kostrzyn nad Odrą and Słubice and spills into West Pomerania and Greater Poland, Oder on one side, Brandenburg on the other. That geography is the old pitch: road, rail, land still empty, costs below the German bank. Power and fiber for the computer shed are not addressed in the six-month wrap.

Management thinks the year can run hotter. A non-European investor is looking at something measured in billions of dollars. No name. No flag. No plot. An inquiry.
Mielec’s EURO-PARK also went through a billion zlotys of declared outlays by June. Fourteen zone companies around the country still stamp these decisions. Six months on the western border does not rank the rest.
Either that unnamed file becomes a decision by December or the year stands on what is already filed./.
